A lot of people preach “no regrets.” I can’t relate to that.
I have hurt people who love me. I don’t celebrate that. I don’t insist it was meant to be.
I regret hurting them. I regret a lot of things I’ve done.
And that’s okay.
Regret isn’t a flaw I need to talk myself out of. It’s what caring looks like after you’ve gotten something wrong.
I can make most of it right.
That’s the part “no regrets” skips. If it didn’t matter, there’d be nothing to fix. Because it does matter, I get to try.
Some of it I can’t undo, and I have to live with that.
If you carry regrets too, you’re not stuck with them. You’re allowed to feel them, and you’re allowed to start making it right.
If it’s bad right now, this page is for you, and you can call or text 988 any time.
I’ll send the next one. You can leave whenever you want.
